My name is Kanti Kumar. I write human-interest stories about people, places, and my experiences. In the past, I have worked as a journalist and communications professional, with experience in media, nonprofits and the United Nations.

I have spent three decases in print, TV and digital newsrooms—chasing stories, shaping narratives, and arguing with reporters over grammar and style. As a journalist and editor, I learned that facts matter, but so does the way we tell them. The right sentence can illuminate; the wrong one can obscure an entire truth.

Now, I write at a slower, more deliberate pace—less dictated by deadlines, more by curiosity. This space is where I follow ideas that linger: the quiet shifts in society, the overlooked corners of everyday life, the conversations between cultures, and the stories that sit just beneath the surface.

My writing moves across people, places, and perspectives. Sometimes it is reportage with memory woven in; sometimes it is reflection grounded in observation. I am interested in the intersections—where the personal meets the political, where the local brushes against the global, where a small moment reveals a larger pattern.

If there is a common thread, it is this: an attempt to understand the world without rushing to simplify it.
